Multi-contact’s rail industry and other power electronic connectors for laminated bus bars reduce power losses from leakage inductance by up to 25%. The ClipLam CL-T withdrawal connection enables electrical contact via Multilam torsion spring contact elements, which form independent lines of current. These parallel current lines lead to a significant reduction in the electrical resistance and inductance of the connection, compared with bolted bus bar connection.
Suitable for connecting two systems of double-pole insulated bus bars, these low contact resistance connectors are simply attached to bus bars using two clips. These bus bars can be between 2mm and 5mm thick and need to be silver plated prior to fitting.
With current ratings of 400~1600A, the rack able plastic framed ClipLams are available in lengths up to 150mm, providing high shock and vibration resistance. They also provide a self-cleaning action when mating, saving space and eliminating the risk of wiring inversion.
The branch consists of a power switch connected to a cable connector.
