USB module maker Opal Kelly has announced a prototype and development board based around a four million gat Xilinx Spartan3 FPGA and USB 2.0 which is smaller than a credit card.

Prototype and development boards are definitely useful tools accelerating design. But when we are talking about simulations, we always should be aware that it is not a proof of design, it is only mean which helps us better understand processes in our design.
I think, without proper understanding of real limitations of used models, this statement is too brave.
