In a move
that will help PCB designers work with greater accuracy and efficiency, IPC —
Association Connecting Electronics Industries® has partnered with PCB Matrix
Corp. to include a free Land Pattern Calculator with IPC-7351A, Generic Requirements for Surface Mount Design and
Land Pattern Standard.
“We’re excited to make this tool available to PCB designers
at no cost to them,” says John Perry, IPC technical project manager. “There’s a huge proliferation of new
components in the industry, and the LP Calculator makes it easier for designers
to be proactive in building the land patterns they need.”
IPC members
and nonmembers who own IPC-7351A can download the LP Calculator free at http://landpatterns.ipc.org/.
The standard is also available for purchase through IPC’s online bookstore at www.ipc.org/onlinestore in
hard copy, on CD or by download.
